> ABOUT US: ORIGINS

The Church on the Heath was launched in December 2000.

When Fleet's Elvetham Heath development was being planned, local churches formed a Local Ecumenical Partnership (LEP) to establish a single united church for the area.  One of the first houses at Elvetham Heath was bought to provide a home for the church's minister and his family.

As part of Elvetham Heath since its very early days, the church is pleased to play an active part in many aspects of establishing and strengthening the new community.

David Price, pictured below, has been minister of the church since its launch - for more information, please read his profile.

> OUR CHURCH BUILDING

After meeting in the local Community Centre for six years, we moved into our new purpose-built church building in The Key at Elvetham Heath on 3 December 2006 – our sixth anniversary.  To view a map of our location, click here, or see our contact us page for written directions.

The building is open 8:30am-12:30pm Monday to Friday, 9:30-12 Saturdays and at 10am and 7:30pm for Sunday services.  Additional afternoon/evening activities may also mean that the building is open outside these times.

Inside the light and airy building, visitors can find a 300-seat worship area, a hall, a coffee bar, a crèche, and other meetings rooms and offices. The church is open each morning and visitors are welcome to drop in to look around, for a chat or cup of coffee.

The building is also open at 10am and 7:30pm for Sunday services and additionally for other activities - please see the events page and weekday activities page for more details.

The church launched its ‘Breaking New Ground’ appeal to raise funds for the £2 million building. Although support has been received from the church’s founding denominations, the majority of the fundraising required is being carried out by the church’s growing congregation and local supporters.  If you would like to contribute to the building fund, please contact our church treasurer.
