Leadership team

The church is led by a Minister with support from two elected officers – the Church Secretary and Treasurer – and members of the Ecumenical Church Council (ECC). Members of the ECC hold accountability for the many different areas of church life.

We also have a small staff team. This currently includes a Church Administrator, Church Assistant Administrator, Youth Minister and a Time for God Volunteer.

PatrickButlerAbout our Minister …

Our Minister is Rev Patrick Butler who joined us in the summer of 2013 from Emmanuel Church in Guildford where he was a curate. Ordained six years ago, Patrick had earlier spent 15 years in South America involved in youth ministry and church leadership.

A fluent Spanish speaker, he lists cycling, running half marathons, squash, cinema and hill walking among his hobbies. He is also a keen guitarist who confesses to having once played bass with a not so famous band that toured the pubs and clubs of the South coast!

Patrick, his wife Rosie and their children, Luke, Jessica and Johnny, have moved into their new home on the Heath.
